New Drupal site! One Economy Corporation

We are happy to announce the public launch of the new One Economy Corporation site. One Economy's mission is to maximize the potential of technology to help low-income individuals improve their lives and enter the economic mainstream. In their own words:

We help bring broadband into the homes of low-income people, employ youth to train their community members to use technology effectively, and provide socially responsible media properties that offer a wealth of information on education, jobs, health care and other vital issues.

To present the public face of the organization, One Economy turned to the Drupal content management system and to OpenSourcery. Drupal allows multiple people easy access to updating their site and simple ways to manage video content. OpenSourcery makes getting set up with Drupal a smooth and simple process. Clients are ecstatic about the results.

I’m extraordinarily pleased that more and more people at One Economy are coming to understand the value of open sourceOpen source software is computer software for which the human-readable source code is made available under a copyright license (or arrangement such as the public domain) that meets the Open Source Definition. and, specifically, Drupal, even if they don’t realize it. It’s taken almost 2 years to get One Economy to this point. That is, from heaps of unmanageable, proprietary code to systems that are scalable and cost effective. Open Sourcery’s execution on this project as well as 247townhall.org and the BeehiveNetwork.org, has clearly played an integral part in that transition. Thank you.
